The photographs in this pictorial essay of the RCAF at work in the mid 1920's conducting Forestry Patrols and the first Aerial Photographic Topographical Survey of Canada, came into the possession of the senior author at a silent auction at a meeting of the CAHS in its early years. They had been donated by the estate of a former member.
It was on retirement that time became available to review them in detail. With this review came the realization of their uniqueness and their historic value.
They have recently been donated to the Archives of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
